WiE CAN Women in Engineering Taster – 1-day event Christchurch

This one-day event for Year 12 female students will feature:

  • Hands-on workshops showcasing Civil Engineering and Electrical & Computer Engineering
  • An Amazing Race group challenge to explore the UC campus, including engineering labs and facilities
  • Inspiring presentations from women working in the engineering industry, including current students, recent graduates and academics
  • Q&A with UC staff and students so you can find out the real deal about studying engineering at UC.

University of Auckland Young Scholars Programme 2022 – Applications Open

The University of Auckland is pleased to offer an opportunity for top-performing Year 13 students to study a University of Auckland course while still at school through the Young Scholars Programme. The Young Scholars Programme course offerings for 2022 have now been confirmed and information is available on our website.

Applications should be completed by students before 8 December 2021 with all applications and supporting documentation submitted as early as possible.

For any queries regarding the courses, please contact the appropriate academic coordinator noted for the course. Contact details for the course coordinators are available on the Young Scholars courses and contacts page. The academic coordinator will then be able to inform you of the application and enrolment process as it applies to their particular faculty.

Ara Whānau Application Evening

Let us Answer your Students’ Questions

At a Whānau Application Evening, Ara staff can meet with your students and their families to answer Ara-specific questions.

It’s now the time of year when school leavers have to make choices around courses and study options for 2022. The Youth and Community team are running a whanau information and application evening both on zoom, and in person, to hopefully allow as many students to be involved as possible.

If any of your students are thinking about Ara, our team would love to have a chat with them, answer questions about the courses and their applications, and can also verify ID’s and take in completed enrolment forms.

Date: Thursday the 28th of October

Time: 5.30-7.30pm

Location: Christchurch City Campus (Madras Street) or Zoom

Massey University Online Course Planning

We will again be offering Virtual Course Planning Sessions between Monday 8 November – Friday 12 November with the Massey University Recruitment Team.

If you have any students amongst your Year 13 cohort that need a hand with selecting their courses for 2022 then please pass on the following details.

Who is it for? 

  • Students starting their first year at Massey in 2022
  • Students who have completed an application and/or accepted a conditional offer
  • Ready to enrol into their courses

How will it run?

  • Via zoom which will be sent out to those who register on
  • Each programme will have a different 30 minute session throughout the week
  • Each attendee must be ready to enrol, if students have not yet applied they can find a step-by-step guide on our website.
Wherever students want their learning to take them, they can find it with Massey University.

University of Auckland – Bachelor of Dance Studies 2022 Applications Open

Applications are open for the 2022 intake of students for the Bachelor of Dance Studies at The University of Auckland.

The Bachelor of Dance Studies is an exciting three year qualification providing a broad education in dance including teaching, performance, choreography, community dance, entrepreneurship, research and more. Our graduates forge successful pathways in diverse 21st century dance careers. We seek diverse individuals from any dance background.

Because of the uncertainty of Covid-19 Alert Levels we are conducting all auditions in a virtual format. Applicants will be asked to supply a short video of their dancing (any style etc) and engage in a short interview with Dance Studies staff. This is also a great opportunity for applicants and their whanau to ask any questions about the programme. Applicants will be contacted to send their video and book their interview after their online application is received by the UoA.

Online NZ College of Chiropractic Information Event

Even though these are unusual and disruptive times, we hope you enjoyed your holidays.

Although we can’t meet face to face to show interested students around the College, we can meet screen to screen instead at our special Online Information Event.
